Joining the Pre-Med Community in 2020, surrounded by the anxieties and hesitancies of the pandemic, made me realize how important it is to cultivate an organization in which we can strive for both mental and academic support. I started realizing that there were peers who similarly faced doubts about the pre-med path, especially due to the lack of departmental advising for it on campus. Thus, the organization was founded to provide students of all diverse backgrounds, the resources and opportunities to thrive. It was also created in such a way that students unable to attend in person, or to pay expenses for preparatory programs, are nonetheless able to benefit. While we are still growing, we hope to expand our mission and continue providing our community with guidance and support.
