What is it?
The BLS course gives you the ability to recognize life-threatening emergencies, provide CPR, use an AED, and relieve choking. This is a general knowledge course that allows you to learn and apply first aid and emergency techniques in the event of an emergency. What opportunities does it open? Most, if not all, healthcare industries require this baseline knowledge and certification. Proper BLS and CPR training opens the door for any healthcare position. Note: BLS and CPR Certification can be obtained by government certified organizations in your state. These include but are not limited to; local fire and police stations, community colleges, universities, events held by the American Heart Association or the Red Cross, and online opportunities.
